Understanding Lenticular Effects

3D Effect –Imagine a two-dimensional image transforming into a multi-layered 3D masterpiece. By using a 3D photo shoot or by simply supplying each visual element on a separate layer, this astonishing effect can be achieved. Your audience won’t just see your image; they’ll feel a sense of depth that adds a tangible quality to your brand.
Flip EffectThe most basic yet dramatic of lenticular effects, the flip effect allows for 2-5 distinct images to appear one after the other. Although a simple two-image flip is the most straightforward, we can go up to an eye-catching 4-image flip that provides a dynamic, changing narrative.
Morph EffectPicture one image melting and transforming seamlessly into another. The morph effect creates an illusion of fluid transformation, compelling the observer’s eyes to follow the unfolding change.

Print Specs and MaterialOur marketing cards are printed on 85lpi/0.4mm Lenticular Stock, offering precise and high-quality images that are durable and visually impactful.
Orientation and Minimum OrderLandscape orientation flips from up to down, while portrait orientation flips from left to right. The minimum order requirement is 500 cards per design.
Turnaround and FreightExpect a standard turnaround time of 15-20 working days. For freight costs, we recommend you call us for an accurate pricing quote.
Additional CostsA setup fee of $110 + GST is charged per colour, and GST is additional to the quoted prices. Full-colour print is available over synthetic paper backing for the reverse side of the card.

Print Specs and MaterialOur posters are printed on 10-20lpi/3.2mm Lenticular Stock, catering to larger formats without compromising on quality.
Orientation and Minimum OrderJust like our marketing cards, the orientation for posters also flips either up to down or left to right. The best part? There’s only a minimum order of one poster.
Turnaround and FreightStandard turnaround time mirrors that of our marketing cards at 15-20 working days. Freight costs are additional, and specific pricing can be obtained on request.
Additional CostsThe setup fee for posters is waived, making it even more budget-friendly. As always, GST is additional to the quoted prices.

Lenticular Effects

We recommend you get a pre-production sample at additional cost for larger projects.

	3D effect – allows the transformation of a two-dimensional image into a multi-layer 3D image. This effect can be achieved with a 3D photo shoot or by simply supplying each element on a separate layer.
	Flip effect – is an effect used to show up to 2-5 distinct images, one after the other. While they are the most basic effect, they can also be the most dramatic! The basic “flip” has two images printed on the same page, but we can go up to a 4 image flip.
	Morph effect – the complete transformation of an image, melting into another. Create the perception that two or more images seamlessly transform into each other before the observer’s eyes.
	Zoom effect – based on a single photographic image it is the action of having an object moving closer or further away. The image seems to “leap out” at the viewer by combining multiple sizes of the same image and merging them quickly together, gradually increasing in size.
	Motion Effect – The background image may remain constant, while the objects which appear to be moving, will be printed at different positions.

NOTE: Limitations

Lenticular printing can be a little unpredictable – it is best to request us to review your proposed design before we quote.

We recommend you get a pre-production sample at an additional cost of $700 plus GST for larger projects.

Show Through: Flat printing on the back of lenticulars is possible, but show through may be an issue. For most double-sided jobs we recommend a synthetic paper backing to help prevent show-through.

Ghosting: No matter how good your design is, there will always be some degree of “ghosting” from one image to the next on a flip effect. We recommend you request us to review your proposed design.
